A rate, deadline or example may not apply to a different entity, reporting period, registration status or transaction. Refer to the linked authority and the facts of your business before making a filing or legal decision.
A website enquiry does not appoint a representative, create an accountant–client engagement, authorize tax filing, or establish a price or completion date. The agreed service scope determines who prepares records, approves adjustments, files returns and releases payments.
Examples and calculators
Worked examples are illustrative and are not client results. Calculator outputs depend on the numbers entered and the assumptions shown beside the result. They are planning aids, not quotes, promises of savings, professional opinions or filed returns.
The BC tax worksheet keeps a regular-method federal GST/HST balance separate from PST collected, self-assessed amounts, verified deductions and payments. It does not net a credit in one account against tax owing in the other. It does not establish registration, taxability, credit or deduction eligibility, Quick Method results, penalties, interest or an authority’s account balance.
Enquiries and safe use
Provide accurate contact information and a brief description of the work. Do not submit sensitive financial documents or credentials through the public form. Do not use the website to impersonate another person, transmit malicious content or interfere with other visitors.
You remain responsible for reviewing an enquiry before submitting it. Calculator buttons prepare a summary; they do not submit the hosted form or authorize services on your behalf.
Content and external references
You may use the checklists to organize your own business records and share links to the guides. Website text, design and other materials remain subject to their applicable ownership and licence terms. Third-party icons and images retain their respective licences.
Links to government bodies, financial institutions, software vendors or local organizations are supplied as references. A reference does not imply membership, certification, partnership, endorsement or a guaranteed integration. Those organizations control their own services and terms.
Questions or corrections
If a link fails, a rule has changed or an example is unclear, send the page address and describe the issue. Requests about an existing engagement should follow that engagement’s agreed communication process.
